Ten years ago, Vero began not as a restaurant, but as a moment.
A family trip to Naples. A shared meal. A realization that the simplest food—when made with care, tradition, and love—can leave the deepest impression. That moment became a promise: to bring the true spirit of Neapolitan pizza home.
The name Vero means “true” in Italian, and that truth lives in every detail. From our handcrafted dough, made daily in a temperature-controlled dough room, to our custom Acunto oven built from volcanic clay, we’ve remained committed to doing things the right way—never the easy way.
For ten years, Vero has been a place where neighbors gather, families linger, and meals are meant to be shared. We’ve watched kids grow up over Margherita pizzas, celebrated quiet weeknights and loud tables alike, and become part of the fabric of Brookhaven.

Led by Matt Swickerath, our kitchen honors the traditions of Naples while bringing a thoughtful, personal touch to every dish. Chef Matt’s approach is rooted in respect for ingredients, attention to detail, and a deep belief that great food should feel both special and familiar.
Behind the scenes—and out on the floor—our team is an extension of that philosophy. Many have been with us for years, growing alongside the restaurant and helping shape the warm, welcoming experience our guests know and love.
